Company Description

Brook Restoration was founded by Geoff Grist in 2000. Since being founded, we have become a
well-established company in the building restoration field. Our head office is located in Toronto,
where the company employs approximately 225 highly skilled people. Our office staff consists of
thirteen personnel. We have five project managers having a combined 60 years of experience in
building restoration. Our construction force is a mix of highly experienced restoration mechanics and
many of them have been with Geoff since he started in the restoration industry. Our expertise
allows us to be a full service building restoration contractor specializing in all the different
restoration sectors including high-rise commercial/residential, low rise commercial/ residential,
health care facilities, institutional facilities, places of worship and educational facilities.

Brook Restoration Ltd. owns a majority of its own equipment. Our equipment ranges from all
essential rigging equipment for high-rise repairs such as modular swing stages and motors to a large
quantity of scaffolding for low-rise work. For concrete repairs, we have a variety of compressors,
sandblasting equipment and pneumatic hammers. We believe in keeping an up to date inventory of
all equipment and regularly service and maintain all equipment.

The transportation of materials and equipment to our job sites is performed with our own trucking.
Brook has six trucks consisting of one Slot bed, four stake trucks and two tilt and load trucks. For
smaller deliveries we also have six pickup trucks and 2 cargo vans. With these vehicles we are able
to meet all of our transportation needs. Our headquarters are located in Toronto, near Pearson
International Airport, and all the major 400 series highways, including the 401, 409, 427, QEW, 400
and 407. The office and warehouse combine to reach over 40,000 square feet. This combined with
our trucking capacity allows us to maintain and deliver the necessary inventory of materials, tools
and equipment to meet project demands at a moment’s notice throughout Ontario.

Brook Restoration Ltd. has established and maintained a reputation for creative and innovative
solutions in the field of building envelope restoration work. Through our cost effective and dedicated
service we have been able to ensure client satisfaction, which has been a key component to Brook’s
success. Brook’s growth has been based on offering clients a service that is knowledgeable,
cooperative, technically insightful and uncompromising in quality. We are also sure to recognize the
technical strengths and capabilities of the project consultants, design teams and building owners
during the construction process.

We are a unionized company affiliated with Local 598 and Local 27, which allows us to draw upon a
large skilled labour pool, providing us with additional labour force capabilities to meet project
demands. We are currently in the process of initializing a joint training and apprenticeship program
with the Union to create a fully skilled and knowledgeable workforce. We take great pride in
assisting others and creating better opportunities for all participants in our industry. Brook is also
proud to be a leader in safety practices for the restoration industry. We employ a full time safety
consultant, “Restoration Safety”, who ensures all Brook worksites and employees are working with
the highest regard for safety at all times. All existing and newly hired Brook employees are trained in
all basic safety courses including WHMIS, Fall Arrest and CPR.
