Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process receiving paperwork from the warehouse into ERP system; Verify receivers have properly checked off receiving information
  • Maintain raw material, bulk and component identification and location program; monitor and control inventory integrity
  • Research inventory discrepancies and make necessary corrections; monitor raw material flow in FIFO manner
  • Manage the inventory control function at assigned site
  • Responsible for overseeing physical inventories/ cycle counts/ random or receipt audits/ reconciliations
  • Track and report non-conforming products
  • Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
  • Document and control aged and damaged products
  • Ensure all labeling requirements are met and update ERP system accurately in a timely manner
  • Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management (and client as appropriate)
  • Coordinate and integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy
  • Regularly train site staff in proper inventory control techniques and practices


  • Participate in staff and customer meetings if required
  • Develop office software skills to perform any e-mailing, reports, label preparation, order release, driver sign-out and inventory checks

Safety, Security:

  • Follow posted safety procedures at all times while in assigned warehouse
  • Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work room area


  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment as an individual and as a team member
  • Working knowledge of shipping and warehouse software/systems
  • Capable of lifting 35-45lbs
  • Ability to multi-task and detail oriented
  • Knowledgeable in inventory best practices
  • Understands general warehousing practices
  • Able to compile basic reports for analysis
  • Ability to investigate and problem-solve solutions to variances
  • Forklift license is an asset
  • Able to work shift work and weekends
