We are seeking an Assistant Controller to join our organization. The position will be a key member of the Finance and Human Resources functions. The role encompasses the traditional finance function, payroll and other operations/administrative tasks. Major responsibilities include:
- A/P entry, processing and payment, including investigating discrepancies and preparing inventory cost adjustments
- Banking and bank reconciliations
- Payroll, including commission calculations, expense reports, source deduction remittances, vacation/sick day tracking
- Year end T4, T5 preparation
- WSIB, GST/HST, EHT returns
- Salesperson performance & analysis reporting
- Supplier/customer maintenance
- Assistance with month-end close, including financial statement entries and analysis
- Assistance with monthly bank reporting
- Financial budget preparation
- Assistance with year-end and inventory audits
Experience with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access and eStelplan software are preferred.
