Collins Blay LLP Chartered Professional Accountants is looking for an experienced manager who is a tax oriented Chartered Professional Accountant to join our growing practice.  We are a medium sized local firm that has established a reputation for providing excellent client service over the past 35 years.  You will be part of a talented team that handles a diverse client base that faces both private company and cross-border tax issues.  Our shared responsibility will be to develop you into a trusted advisor for our client base.  You will prepare tax plans, implement reorganizations and practice in a diverse range of tax area that follows our client base.  You will require a desire to further your already strong knowledge of Canadian taxation matters, including income taxes and income tax planning and reorganizations. We will support you in this learning through hands-on projects, guidance from our tax partner and through professional tax development courses.  Audit and review engagements and advanced GAAP knowledge are not a focus of this role as these areas are managed by existing professionals and partners.

 Your qualifications should include:

  • CPA/CA designation with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a CPA/CA firm
  • Completed the CPA In-Depth tax program
  • Experience reviewing tax files and managing multiple clientele timelines
  • Experience with Enterprise clients developing shareholder compensation models and related tax planning
  • Experience and exposure to business succession planning and related tax matters
  • Competency with Taxprep and MS Office is an asset
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
