Are you looking for an opportunity to be an integral part of an exciting company with growth? Our client is a dynamic company in the Hamilton area looking to add a Controller to their team. As the Controller, you will report directly to the president/owner, and be responsible for all accounting and financial matters of the company, including management of the full accounting cycle in SAGE Timberline, preparation of monthly financial reporting, and job/project costing for all active projects.
To be considered for the role of Controller, you must be a designated accountant (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) with 10+ years of construction/land development experience, ideally with Project Accounting expertise and the ability to manage multi-company accounting. The successful candidate will be motivated to take on leadership role and run the day-to-day accounting ; putting in process and controls, as they are going through a conversion of accounting systems, be organized to manage multi company reporting and month-end processes and confident enough to work independently. You should have experience with SAGE Timberline software. The company is regularly involved in a number of projects at any one time, so you must be able to manage multiple projects and provide the owner with accurate and timely information on committed costs at any point in time.
