Job Description

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST (12 month contract)

Job Summary

We have a vacancy on our team in the Toronto office and are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst on a contractual basis for a one-year period. Reporting to the Manager, Planning, Analysis and Financial Reporting, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with duties related to our ERP conversion and performing a variety of financial accounting activities.

    Primary Responsibilities - ERP Conversion Project:

  • Performs data analysis and clean up to prepare data for conversion

  • Assists with financial system testing and validation

  • Works with third parties to standardize templates for uploading financial data

  • Reconciles sub-ledger to general ledger account balances

  • Provides support with other aspects of the project and/or perform related administrative, clerical and other duties as assigned.

    Additional Responsibilities, as required:

  • Performs account analysis and posts adjustments / reclassifications

  • Reconciles general ledger accounts including banks, intercompany and credit cards

  • Posts monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals

  • Ensures proper coding of expenditures

  • Verifies cost allocations according to Firm procedures

  • Assists with the preparation of operating budgets and audit schedules.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • CA, CGA or CMA designation or equivalent accounting designation, coupled with minimum five years’ experience in accounting and financial analysis at a senior accounting level

  • Experience in 3E or Elite Enterprise is an asset

  • Sound understanding of GAAP / ASPE

  • Experience analyzing and manipulating large volume of data

  • Advanced Excel skills are a must.



This role reports to the Manager, Planning, Analysis and Financial Reporting.
