Job Description

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Senior Financial Analyst in our Toronto office. Reporting to the Manager, Finance and Accounting, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for performing a variety of financial accounting activities.

    Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the administration of our automated expense processing tool

  • Assists with the conversion of expense management software into a new ERP platform

  • Assists with the implementation of a supplier invoicing automated software

  • Provides support with special projects and/or perform related administrative, clerical and other duties as assigned 

    Additional Responsibilities, as required:

  • Reconciles sub-ledger to general ledger account balances

  • Performs account analysis and posts adjustments / reclassifications as needed

  • Analyzing general ledger accounts

  • Posts monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals

  • Ensures proper coding of expenditures

  • Verifies cost allocations according to Firm procedures

  • Assists with the preparation of operating budgets and audit schedules.

    Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • CA, CGA or CMA designation or equivalent accounting designation, coupled with minimum five years’ experience in accounting and financial analysis at a senior accounting level

  • Experience with Chrome River or other online expense management software

  • Experience in 3E is an asset

  • Sound understanding of GAAP / ASPE

  • Experience analyzing financial data and preparing reports

  • Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Supervision

This role reports to the Manager, Finance and Accounting.
