As Manager of Sustainability, Energy and Environmental Planning, you will be responsible for fulfilling NVSD’s sustainability strategy and environmental initiatives pertaining to workplace conservation, awareness, stakeholder engagement, and resilience adaption planning. Furthermore, you will assess and update the district's Strategic Energy Management Plan ensuring that it is meeting benchmark indicators and accomplishing its goals.

The aim of your portfolio is to reduce the district's greenhouse gas emissions, enhance energy efficiency, improve waste management practices, and create a culture of conversation where energy efficiency is regular business practice.

As a part of the Facilities Maintenance and Capital Planning department, you will work closely with the Director and Manager to lead activities supported through the BC Hydro Energy Management program.  Overall, you will be responsible for ensuring that NVSD's programs and initiatives are in place to support the continuous improvement within all of NVSD's properties.
