Primex is currently seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Director of Engineering to join our team in Langley, on a full-time basis.
In this role, you will lead and manage all facets of the Engineering department with the goal of building market-ready optical fibre, copper, wireless, and OEM network termination, demarcation, and connection enclosures within feasible plastic manufacturing realities. You will act as the technical lead on many company projects and work together with other departments to contribute to the continuous improvement of Primex.
As an integral member of the management team, you will engage and motivate engineering talent, define and set deliverables, plan resources, and improve processes and engineering initiatives of Primex in a complex and diverse manufacturing environment.
Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of engineering experience with previous experience in a manufacturing environment, and a minimum of 5 years of management experience with a demonstrated ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team.
In order to qualify for this role, a mechanical engineering background is required. Similarly, a post-secondary education in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering would be highly relevant.
Due to the nature of this role, some travel between the US and Canada will be required (less than 10% of the time).
