Water Security Agency currently owns and operates 49 dams in the province ranging from large structures, like Gardiner & Qu’Appelle River Dams that form Lake Diefenbaker to small earth dams. These dams provide water supply and recreation to the citizens of Saskatchewan. Our Dam Safety & Major Structures group specializes in the fields of dam safety, dam operations and maintenance and geotechnical engineering. This group ensures all of our dams are maintained in accordance with our Dam Safety Management Policy so they remain safe and are operated to maximize the benefits for the people in the province. We are in search of an enthusiastic Engineer Specialist to join this team of professionals.
As part of the Dam Safety & Major Structures team you will provide specialized professional geotechnical engineering expertise in the investigation, design, construction, risk assessment, operation, maintenance, monitoring and assessment, and rehabilitation of the Water Security Agency’s water management infrastructure projects.
You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals from fields including various disciplines of engineering, water quality, ecology, law, sociology, and public policy to name a few, that are leading this exciting challenge in our province.
The successful candidate should possess a degree in Civil Engineering or similar engineering discipline preferably with a Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering studies; a licence to practice professional engineering from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) and 12 years of progressively more responsible directly related experience.
