Knowledge and Education
Bachelor's degree of engineering or related discipline. A Master's degree preferred. *Experience working with Discrete Event Simulations. *Mastery of simulation modeling software such as Siemens Plant Simulation, AnyLogic, FlexSim, Arena and SIMUL8 *Good understanding of lean principals is an asset *Experience working with Discrete Event Simulations. *Demonstrated mastery of operations research methods with a focus on simulation modeling. *Exposure to manufacturing and industrial assembly systems required. *Production experience an asset. *Advanced knowledge in statistics (Distribution Fitting, ANOVA, and Linear/Logistics Regression, Design of Experiments). *Strong programming skills in OOP languages such as C++, C# or Java required. *Experience with statistical analysis software packages such as SAS, SPSS, Minitab, strongly preferred. *Experience with MS Excel and VBA an asset.
*Guide and train Cosma Divisions in the value of performing discrete event simulations *Submit weekly data reports collected from an assembly production line in a manufacturing facility. *Conduct a multivariate analysis to find main effects or interactions between variables on the JPH output of that production line. *Establish strong relationships with the Production and Maintenance Team Members to collect data and may provide improvement ideas to reduce variability of JPH. *Help identify the root cause(s) of throughput variability, and provide real-world data to strengthen our Discrete Event model. *Advanced candidates will also have the opportunity to modify existing Discrete Event models using the data s/he collected.
