To account for and control fixed assets, foreign exchange, manpower and for account analysis and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Preparing Capital Expenditure Requests including return on investment calculations and REAFs - includes preparing monthly 1C report for Novi as well as capital spending KOI.
Accounting for all fixed asset additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation and impairments.
Forecasting depreciation and fixed asset for flash, forecasts and business plan.
Accounting for the fixed asset portion of crib inventory - includes assisting with the preparation of CER's for spare parts over $2K and accounting for all crib additions and disposals.
Preparing monthly Bank reconciliations - includes daily clearing of cheques.
Forecasting our net USD position and the income statement impact of forward cover (hybrid rate) and swap contracts for the weekly flash, reforecasts, and BP - includes monthly call with Magna Treasury to provide them with guidance what to do with any surplus or shortfall of US dollars and the HST amount for the month that need to be hedged.
Preparing and submitting the weekly cash flow to Group Office.
Forecasting of monthly outflows for hybrid exchange calculations for the weekly flash report.
Accounting for foreign exchange revaluations and contracts - both maturing, swaps and hybrid adjustments - includes using the BS exchange revaluation report to ensure that all account balances were properly revalued to the month end spot rate.

Working capital management - includes forecasting of Working Capital levels.
Assisting with the flash, Reforecast and Business Plan preparation including variance analysis - mainly investigating and explaining Foreign Exchange variances from week to week, compared to BP and Reforecast.
Balance sheet forecasting - includes working capital and foreign exchange and explanations for changes.
Preparing Government and payroll taxes submissions, reconciliations and audits.
Preparing benefits accruals for month end.
Preparing month end payroll related account reconcilations.
Together with the Payroll Administrators forecast manpower expenses for business plan and reforecast purposes.
Analyzing and explaining variances between actual manpower expenses and business plan/ reforecast and flash.
Acting as back up for the Senior AP and AR Administrators.
Complying with Sox requirements - including fixed asset verification.
Assisting with annual internal and external audits - includes preparing Controller's model schedules.
Maintaining detailed work instructions.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Education
A university degree in an accounting program. Enrollment in the CPA program would be an advantage. Minimum five years experience in accounting or equivalent in a manufacturing environment, preferably the automotive industry would be an asset. Excellent interpersonal skills. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office.
