Reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives and Interim Director, Payroll Services, the Manager, Payroll leads the development, implementation, communication and administration of the University’s complex payroll processes. Overseeing a large team, the Manager, Payroll leads the processing of semi-monthly payrolls for hourly and salaried employees, ensuring all remuneration and benefits are provided in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with all applicable University, provincial and federal regulations, policies and guidelines.
The successful candidate will possess a professional accounting designation and/or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification and will have a minimum of seven years’ experience with large integrated Payroll/HRIS systems and accounting functions, including five years in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will be client focused with advanced technical and problem-solving skills, with experience operating in a complex environment and across diverse stakeholders.
