We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager to work with Client Technical Services in the Department of University Information Technology for this exciting opportunity. Client Technical Services (CTS) is responsible for delivering a variety of key client-facing services to the University community. CTS provides professional technical services and support for desktop and mobile computing, a/v technology in campus learning and meeting spaces, printing, point of sale devices, and video conferencing. Accountable to the Manager, CTS, the Assistant Manager is responsible for customer service excellence, effective workflow, providing strategic input in delivering superior and innovative support solutions to the University community.

In this role, you will provide professional technical services and support for desktop and mobile computing, a/v technology in campus learning and meeting spaces, printing, point of sale devices, and video conferencing. You will be responsible for customer service excellence, effective workflow, providing strategic input in delivering superior and innovative support solutions to the University community.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A relevant University degree in computer science or related discipline. A relevant College Diploma may be considered if in conjunction with the certifications listed. Certification in one or more of the following is preferred: CompT A+ certification; ITIL/COBIT service management; Project management; CTS-I or CTS-D. We are seeking individuals who possess 3-5 years of relevant experience preferably in an academic or large service-oriented environment which includes at least 2 years' of experience working in a management capacity (preferably in a unionized environment). The successful incumbent will have experience in a client service/technical support role providing end user services; managing client support incidents/requests using an enterprise helpdesk ticketing system; managing large or complex deployment projects. In addition, we are seeking candidates who have proven experience leading comprehensive teaching and learning with technology services, including classroom services, video conferencing services, application services and support services.
