Nipissing University invites applications for the position of Provost & Vice-President, Academic & Research (PVPAR). The Provost & Vice-President, Academic and Research reports to the President & Vice- Chancellor and is the chief academic officer of the University. The PVPAR leads by promoting the highest standards in academic innovation, including teaching and curriculum, research and scholarship, and intellectual and creative activity.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated effective academic leadership and vision in higher education, dedication to a high calibre of undergraduate liberal education, and a commitment to the development of the whole learner. S/he will have a distinguished academic background, including strong research productivity and a record of promoting research and scholarship. In addition, s/he will have significant administrative experience and accomplishments, a thorough grasp of issues in post-secondary education, and the ability to work collegially and communicate effectively in a university setting.
