ACC is seeking a new Academic Chairperson, Agriculture and Environment.
The Academic Chairperson, Agriculture and Environment is a key leadership position within the School of Business, Agriculture and Environment at ACC. The Chairperson provides the overall direction and development for current and future Academic Programs in the Agriculture and Environment programming while providing leadership and support to all faculty and students. Reporting to the Dean, School of Business, Agriculture, and Environment the successful candidate will play a key role on the School management team. The Chairperson will collaborate with the Dean on general administrative processes including budget preparation and monitoring while also analyzing staffing needs.
The Chairperson is also responsible for providing leadership for applied research related to Agriculture and Environment programs. These responsibilities include developing funding proposals for applied research activities and cultivating industry and community partnerships in support of applied research.
As the Academic Chairperson, Agriculture and Environment, you will possess a relevant degree and must be registered or eligible for registration as a P.Ag in Manitoba. You have shown demonstrated excellence in leading a team in a comparable post-secondary environment or industry and also have practical and theoretical experience and competence in the discipline(s) that comprise the supervised programs in Agriculture and Environment. You will have a solid understanding of program and curriculum development, assessment and evaluation, student advising, and group facilitation. Experience preparing, monitoring, and managing budgets is also an asset.
