Job Description

Reporting to the President, the Vice-President, Administration and Operations is a key member of, and contributor to, Ryerson’s executive leadership team.  The Vice-President leads, directs and develops the strategic and operational activities of the University related to the organization’s facilities management and development, human resources, information technology services, integrated risk management, internal audit, and business services. He/she establishes and develops its relationship with a variety of outside institutions and with municipal and provincial officials.  The office of the Vice-President is also responsible for the University's relations with contacts who intend to enter into business relationships with the University.

The ideal candidate is a business minded leader who embodies what Ryerson is known for: innovation and entrepreneurship, leadership and best practices, nimbleness and responsiveness, and equity, diversity and inclusion. You must have successful leadership experience in administrative and operations functions within complex organizations. Expertise in infrastructure, human resources, business operations and/or finance would be a considerable asset. Strong people management skills, an ability to build strong partnerships with both internal and external stakeholders, and an ease communicating with various groups are also required.
