Employee Health & Safety Nurse – Competition # 2016-0978
Reporting to the Manager, Employee Health & Safety, this Regular Full Time position is responsible for managing employee disability claims, providing support and leadership for the safety program, coordinating Health & Safety committee activities, employee health promotion activities, and provides clinical services such as employee immunization and health screening. The Employee Health & Safety Nurse is also responsible for providing support to and collaborates with the Employee Health & Safety team and for providing health and safety expertise to Carewest staff; including the implementation and delivery of training programs, safety inspections, audits and promotes the awareness of health and safety service programs throughout Carewest. Responsible for other related duties as required.
Graduation from a recognized nursing program
Currently enrolled in or certified in Occupational Health Nursing preferred
Registration with CARNA required
Valid Driver’s License and reliable vehicle required
Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience required and experience in occupational health & safety and/or disability management
Computer skills required
