What You Will Do:
With a passion for care towards residents, families and team members, the Care Services Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the provision of outstanding care and support to residents and families within their designated scope of practice. The Care Services Supervisor directs and supervises staff engaged in the provision of care and acts as the primary contact for the care team, residents and families.
Individual responsibilities will fall under eight main areas of focus:
Resident-Centered Care – Promotes service excellence and is accountable for coordinating the provision of care services, as directed by the resident care plan, to the residents in an assigned area.
Documentation: Accurately and comprehensively documents resident care assessments, interventions and outcomes in alignment with Bethany policies and procedures.
Safety: Contributes to a safe environment for residents, the team and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices at all times.
Pro-active Learner: Demonstrates the vision and values of Bethany and lives out the mission of Creating Caring Communities.
Team Work: Cares for and actively participates in and assists the Care Team to achieve and maintain a responsible atmosphere of resident centered care.
Leadership: Enables a high performance culture through leading, developing and coaching employees.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or similar health-related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role
Professional registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA)
Proven interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills
Gerontology experience is considered an asset
