Mountain View Centre has been proudly serving Hinton and the surrounding area with quality resident-centered services since it opened.  It is home to 52 residents, 37 of which receive supportive living services and 15 residents with dementia living in a dementia care cottage receiving social rather than a medical model of care.


Job Description

 
Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of care and managing a multi-disciplinary team of health care staff in the Mountain View Centre.  You will lead, inspire and coach employees to excellence.  You will be responsible for:
  • Fostering an environment that is resident-centered with a strong focus on resident and employee satisfaction
  • Supporting quality improvement and best practice initiatives while acting as the clinical lead for the supportive living programs
  • Managing the administrative functions and day-to-day operations
  • Ensuring care and clinical services are in compliance with GSS policies and AHS standards and legislation.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a Licensed Practical Nurse with active CLPNA registration and have 3-5 years leadership experience.  Management experience with financial responsibility is an asset.  You have previous experience working in a supportive living environment.  Dementia care training would be an asset. 
This position may require travel  Access to a vehicle, a valid drivers' license and proof of business insurance are required before commencing employment.
REQUIREMENT
All new employees are required to submit:
- a current and clear Criminal Record Check and if applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date;
- a tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
