Senior Project Manager, IS30, Regular, Full-Time - Vancouver
Salary: $72,095.17 – 82,478.97 plus 9.9% Temporary Market Adjustment

Reporting to the Director Corporate Projects, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing projects requiring a broad skillset.  At this level, this will involve the application of knowledge, techniques, and structured processes both to implement projects, as well as facilitating people through the change.  In this capacity, the Senior Project Manager leads, manages and directs the analysis, planning, development, delivery and change management function for the lifecycle of a project; and leads the integration, coordination and implementation of new and changed business solutions, which include systems and business processes, into the existing environment ensuring that all new pieces integrate fully and efficiently. In addition, this role will participate in developing and supporting organization portfolio management functions.
Strong leadership and communication skills are required to guide teams through projects, manage competing priorities, communicate in an effective way to foster consensus, facilitate change to people processes and tools and drive delivery of assigned projects to ensure timeliness and quality within scope and budget.

Education & Certification

Project Management Professional certification or equivalent certification

Post-secondary Degree or Diploma


Minimum of 5 years of the last 8 with experience as a Project Manager. With demonstrable experience independently managing complex and multi-faceted projects with:

-A significant business change component,
-A significant technology component,
-Requirements from multiple client/stakeholder groups
-Change management programs, and
-A revenue generating organization using  transactional systems
-A requirement to present to and obtain buy-in from senior leadership teams
Progressive experience as part of a project team, delivering projects of significant scope and impact

Experience developing, managing, or supporting the administration of organization portfolio management (planning and prioritizing), preferred.

An equivalent combination of experience, education and training may be considered.


Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI- PMBOK)

Familiarity with people and process Change Management principles and practices 

Knowledge of SDLC 

Knowledge of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices 

Understanding of IT systems and infrastructure

Advanced collaboration skills to understand business drivers and goals to develop relevant program metrics and KPIs
