Job Description

We are looking for an experience Project Manager, to join our team and help us continue to leave our mark on cities across North America. 

As a Project Manager, you will be working as part of a collaborative team and be responsible for supporting all the activities necessary for the planning and execution of multi-facetted, high-volume and complex projects, including estimation, planning and scheduling and the manufacturing process.

As the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Project Planning, Manufacturing and Closeout

  • Participate in the development of a project plan to determine requirements for manufacturing, logistics and purchasing of material
  • Coordinate, organize and plan the purchasing of materials needed for each project
  • Understand the scope of the project, review drawings, quantity, tracking and scheduling for on time delivery
  • Organize product in advance and ensure timely delivery for in house production as needed
  • Complete project documentation packages, drawing sets and Standard Operating Procedures for all projects
  • Data entry of information pertaining to product orders and develops appropriate customer part numbers
  • Collaborate in the production scheduling process and monitor project manufacturing activity
  • Assist the shipping department by developing appropriate palletizing lists and sequencing delivery dates
  • Dolly A-Frame control including ensuring dollies are returned in a timely manner from project sites

Project Estimation

  • Assist the Project Leader in analyzing, costing and quoting projects by providing relevant information and data
  • Provide and coordinate the manufacturing and/or delivery of product samples to project contacts
  • Review logistics and transportation comparisons for delivery to new geographical regions to support project estimating, accurate billing and on-time delivery to our customers

What you bring:

  • 5 years’ experience working as a Project Manager or Project Coordinator
  • Minimum 1 year’s previous experience working in the Construction or Manufacturing industry is a must
  • Post-secondary education in Project Management, Operations Management or Engineering
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
  • Basic AutoCad skills are required
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and developing complex spreadsheets
  • Team player who collaborates well with others and enjoys working on close-knit team
  • Display initiative when completing tasks
  • Strong proficiency computer skills in Microsoft Office (MS Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Ability to thrive in fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Technically focused and enjoy working within established systems, standards, and procedures
  • Effective communication based on job knowledge and expertise
  • Good technical knowledge of the glass fabrication process is an asset
