Fort St. John is seeking 2 Radiologists in the Northeast region of the Northern Health Authority. The Northeast of British Columbia is a region characterized by rolling hills and golden wheat plains. The beautiful landscape surrounding the Peace River is scattered with lakes and unique scenery. The population is 21,000 in Fort St. John and, along with nearby Dawson Creek, helps to serve a regional population of 60,000. Fort St. John boasts outstanding amenities and recreational opportunities.
The radiologists work out of the Fort St. John Hospital, which opened in 2012. The facility has 55 acute care beds and 123 residential care beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 emergency visits per year. Ultrasound including echocardiography, bone mineral densitometry and CT are on site. There is opportunity for expansion, with MRI arriving in the near future.
Hours of work are 08:00-17:00. On call hours are 15:00-08:00 during the week and 08:00-08:00 on the weekends. On-call will be 1:3.

The main industries are agriculture, forestry, natural gas, construction and trucking. There are six elementary schools, two junior high schools, one senior high school. The Northern Lights College provides adult education.

In order to be eligible for licensure in BC, your postgraduate training must meet the requirements of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
