Northern Health Authority is seeking family practitioners to provide locum coverage in Quesnel, BC in the new Family Practice Primary Care Clinic projected that opened in June 2016. The new clinic is a Northern Heath Clinic and physician practices have the support of an inter-professional team such as nurse practitioners, nursing, mental health clinicians, pharmacy and social work. The role of the locum will be to provide primary care appointments for unattached patients at the primary care clinic, working Monday to Friday, 9-5 at the primary care clinic. There is a very welcoming medical community in Quesnel who are friendly and supportive.
Compensation will consist of wages as outlined by the rural retention GP Locum program, with daily guaranteed wage income.
Locum terms of 2 weeks to 6 months considered.

In order to be eligible for British Columbia licensure your postgraduate training must meet the requirements of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia. Post graduate training must be obtained from an accredited and approved training program in a jurisdiction sanctioned by the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
