As a Physician within our CBI Health Centre, you have the opportunity to build your Family Practice (with full administrative support provided by CBI Health Centre) in addition to providing medical assessments requested by employers, as well as the Workers Compensation Board (WCB). This position is based at our Deerfoot Meadows location, a clinic dedicated to serving the workplace, with occupational medicine, rehabilitation and therapy services being directed to the prevention and treatment of workplace injury.
Our brand-new, full-service clinic, with easy access via the Calgary Auto Mall, Deerfoot Meadows offers services in 4 main areas – Medical, Physical Rehabilitation, Occupational Health Testing, and Vocational Rehabilitation. We have a dedicated and experienced interdisciplinary team that includes Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, administrative/medical office professionals, vocational counselors and instructors as well as access to local Occupational Therapists from local clinics in the network. Specific services offered include, but are not limited to:
- medical assessment and treatment
- rehabilitation assessment and treatment
- coordinated return-to-work services
- computer training and vocational services
- drug and alcohol, and vision testing
- ergonomic and functional assessments.
If you have WCB-related experience, are familiar with the Occupational Injury Service (OIS) contract, the WCB Alberta initiative that offers injured workers fast access to physicians with a background in occupational medicine, and have an interest in working with a strong team to complement your family practice background, this opportunity is for you! Your focus will be on providing the highest quality medical care possible, with ample time for team collaboration, which could include ongoing care, assessment and pre-employment medicals.
As a Physician on our team, you can expect: flexible work hours so you can create your own schedule; no evening or weekend work; and administrative/clinical support provided with no fees.
To take on the role of Physician at our Deerfoot Meadows location, you must:
- hold a Doctor of Medicine degree and be licensed to practise in Alberta
- have an understanding of the rehabilitation process and a focus on functional recovery
- have a proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- possess basic computer skills.
- OIS experience will be considered an asset.
