Since its founding in 1866, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) has worked to serve and protect the public by regulating the practice of the medical profession and governing in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act.

CPSO seeks to recruit a new Registrar & Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization and the profession in a constantly evolving health system, with a heightened focus on patient engagement, public protection, transparency and improved health outcomes. The new Registrar & Chief Executive Officer will work with a team of people who care passionately about the public interest and the important work of medical regulation.
The ideal candidate will be a well-respected senior health care leader, who possesses a passion for the promotion of the highest level of professionalism and confidence in the physicians of Ontario, as well as a desire to influence best health outcomes in a complex and evolving health system. He/she will possess professional qualifications and experience that provide evidence of the capacity to lead an organization through complex strategic and operational issues.
