The Department of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences at McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences invites applicants for an Academic Physician to join the Division of Gastroenterology. This is a full-time faculty position for a period of three years (renewable). Academic rank will commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
Applicants must have completed sub-specialty training in gastroenterology and additional fellowship training in celiac disease. A strong academic track record in nutritional research is essential. Your training and experience will be complemented by your multiple research publications and the ability to attract and obtain research funding. The position is for a Research Educator and has a considerable amount of protected time for research.
The successful candidate will be a full time member of the Division of Gastroenterology and is expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Faculty and Division. In addition to the provision of excellence in service, you will play a significant role in the undergraduate and post-graduate teaching in our strong research program. The successful candidate is expected to fully participate in all of the appropriate departmental and divisional educational activities. Your solid academic/clinical training and experience in gastroenterology is documented by your training and expertise in Nutrition and Celiac Disease.
Applicants should be certified (or eligible for certification) by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the Province of Ontario.
