The position of Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Executive (EVP, CME) of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre will give you a rare opportunity to provide leadership in one of Canada’s most dynamic and innovative teaching and research hospitals.
Sunnybrook is proud to be fully affiliated with the University of Toronto, and as an Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Executive at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, you will be leading the future development of Canadian healthcare in one of the country’s premier academic health sciences centres. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will help the hospital build on its rich history, provide leadership to 1,000 physicians and be a highly visible role model for more than 10,000 staff, students and volunteers.
As the new EVP you will be responsible for a variety of leading-edge initiatives that will continue to improve the experience of the 1.2 million patients and families who come through the doors of the hospital each year, relying on Sunnybrook to be there for them when it matters most. The future of high-quality healthcare is predicated upon enhanced partnerships and more integrated care. As Executive Vice President you will provide leadership around Sunnybrook’s strategy to better integrate with other organizations, healthcare providers and key stakeholders, in the interest of enhanced quality and a more efficient, seamless system of care.
The ideal candidate will possess an optimal combination of the following professional experiences, skills and attributes:
A progressive track record in senior leadership roles in an academic health science centre/complex or teaching hospital setting;
Minimally, Assistant Professor ranking at an academic health sciences centre, with Associate or full Professor desired;
• A change agent with the ability to move the change process through the organization.
