We have an exceptional opportunity for an Orthopaedic Surgeon to join our Division of Orthopaedic Surgery. The Division currently employs a team of 13 dynamic Orthopaedic surgeons, covering one site. Our hospital runs a dedicated Orthopaedic Trauma Room during day-time hours Monday through Friday. Our large Fracture Clinic area currently has the capacity to run multiple simultaneous clinics with dedicated x-ray facilities.
We are seeking a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon to support our acute care Orthopaedic services. The successful applicant will be expected to run at least one trauma room per week, and one half-day fracture clinic per week. On-call duties include approximately 1 weekend plus 3 weekdays per month. Additional elective OR resources for the successful applicant are not presently available. The successful surgeon will be encouraged to assist other Orthopaedic surgeons in the OR in order to maintain his/her elective surgical skill set.
This position is for a 1-year term.
Applicants must hold relevant certification in Orthopaedic Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada, and be a member of, or eligible for membership, with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario.
