The Department of Critical Care Medicine invites applications for a full time intensivist at the clinical assistant or associate professor level. The preferred candidate will have echocardiography training along with training in the use, insertion and maintenance of extra corporeal circulatory assistance devices and will be working with other intensivists with similar training.
In addition to clinical time in the a cardiac surgical intensive care unit of the Foothills Medical Centre, the incumbent will provide care in one or more of the other 4 multisystem intensive care units operated by the Department of Critical Care Medicine within Alberta Health Services. The applicant will be joining a vibrant group of 30+ intensivists with varied backgrounds.
Calgary is a vibrant, multicultural city (population in excess of 1,000,000) near the Rocky Mountains, Banff National Park and Lake Louise with health care facilities serving a larger regional population of ~1.5 million people and a referral population of 1.5 million.
Fellowship Training in Critical Care Medicine and eligibility for full licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta is required.
