The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, College of Engineering, at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. This position will augment the energy and environment research areas already established in the department.
Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, as well as a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline, and must be eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan. Significant academic and/or industrial experience in the areas of energy technology and/or environmental sustainability would be a valuable asset.
The successful candidate must provide evidence of teaching excellence and research in energy technology and/or environmental sustainability. The successful candidate will deliver chemical engineering core undergraduate courses and develop and deliver post-graduate courses, contributing to the department’s high-quality undergraduate and graduate education, and research.
The current salary band for an Assistant Professor is $93,293 to $112,109 CAD annually. The search committee will begin reviewing applications by January 2017 and will continue until the position is filled; the planned start date for this position is on or before July 1, 2017.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to deliver a presentation on their research, as well as provide a teaching presentation to department faculty, and will be interviewed by the search committee. Determination of a candidate’s suitability for the position will be based on the committee’s assessment of presentations, the interview and the results of reference checks.
