The Chemical Institute of Canada (CIC) invites applications for a five (5) year (renewable) appointment of Executive Director. Reporting to the CIC Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and management of the Chemical Institute of Canada and its three constituent societies according to the strategic direction set byeach of the societies Board of Directors. The Executive Director works in a collaborative relationship with the society Boards of Directors, CIC staff, members, supporters and volunteers. The ideal candidate will possess a university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or similar field, and have a minimum of 10 years of progressive management experience including a senior leadership role in a not-for-profit, government, or private sector organization related to the CIC mandate. We are looking for a goal driven and strategic leader who is able to lead change collaboratively with all stakeholders and is focused on value to the membership of the constituent societies. You are outstanding in communication, relationship building, and focusing resources on strategic goals. A comprehensive list of duties of the Executive Director is available upon request.
