Position Highlights

ICBC is hiring up to 18 new Managers for Injury Services for various locations in the Lower Mainland. The Manager Injury Services will focus on managing a unit of adjusting staff in the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of unrepresented and represented injury claims.

To be successful in this role, a demonstrated technical knowledge of Bodily Injury adjusting is ideal.

You will manage a talented team that is committed to operational excellence to make a real difference within the corporation. Other responsibilities include some but not all of the following;

Assist adjusters in file resolution for arbitrations, mediations, small claims court actions, settlement conferences, and instruct defence counsel in the handling of lawsuits;

Participate in resolving customer concerns, claims disputes, liability and coverage issues and legal defences;

Manage the day-to-day operations of the unit and communicate any corporate business objectives and operating goals to staff;

Provide leadership and maintains standards of performance by monitoring productivity, quality of file handling and severity control.


Requirements

Knowledge of relevant acts, regulations, policies, and legal decisions pertaining to claims adjusting;

Several years of related/indirect work experience;

Your university degree and/or insurance designation has provided the foundation for your insurance industry;

Superb leadership and communication skills;

Strong ability to facilitate, collaborate and build consensus with direct reports and colleagues;

You must meet the provincially legislated requirements of the Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA).
