SGI CANADA Insurance Services Ltd. is proud to meet the insurance needs of its customers by selling a full suite of property and casualty insurance products in the Alberta market. We’re looking for a motivated professional to join our Underwriting team to work as a temporary, full-time Commercial Auto Underwriting Assistant in our Edmonton office. Providing key support to our underwriting team, you will assist us with processing insurance policies and reviewing, evaluating and determining insurability for routine renewal insurance applications.
We are looking for an individual who is a quick learner and enjoys working with a team. You will bring the motivation and desire to succeed in this developmental opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you. Candidates should have successfully completed one Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) course OR some post-secondary education specializing in insurance and risk management. Candidates should also have at least one year experience in an office environment; experience within the insurance industry would be an asset. Candidates must have experience with underwriting procedures, office procedures and equipment, as well as computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel.
