Curo Claims Services is an independent adjusting company providing claims services for members of OTIP/RAEO Insurance Brokers Inc. We’re looking for someone to join our team as a:

Senior Accident Benefits Claims Examiner

As a member of our Curo team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising insured members and legal representatives of their entitlement and responsibilities under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule (SABS) while addressing all inquiries and ensuring compliance with established company standards.

  • Providing support by managing and interacting with stakeholders in the claims process to ensure insured member’s rehabilitation needs are met such as health practitioners, treatment providers and employers.

  • Investigating and establishing eligibility for benefits to determine loss exposure. This includes analyzing documentation, collecting information from various parties, initiating or conducting investigation of questionable claims, negotiating and resolving of accident benefits claims of moderate to severe complexity in a timely manner.

  • Maintaining quality service and adhering to organizational standards to deal with all aspects of file handling including reserving, expense and loss control, liability assessments, and focused claims resolution planning.

If this opportunity sounds interesting, and you meet the following requirements, you might be the person we’re looking for. We need someone who has:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in accident benefits case management.

  • A CIP designation.

  • An adjuster’s license.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and Guidewire.

  • The ability to communicate in French is considered an asset.
