SGI CANADA is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic professional to join its Ontario Broker Development team as a permanent, full-time Business Development Account Manager in Toronto. In this role you’ll be helping to build SGI CANADA’s future as a major Canadian P&C insurance player.
Working with a team of dedicated professionals, you’ll be responsible for the overall account management and relationship between brokers and SGI CANADA. You will champion the company’s products, initiatives and strategic direction throughout the broker channel. Your enthusiasm will enable you to prospect brokers, help them to identify and align with oportunities for growth, develop joint business plans and monitor results. Working collaboratively with colleagues from the Operations and Customer divisions you will assist them in delivering opportunities and training to their broker accounts as well as monitoring broker results.
Full disclosure — this position requires travel 3 to 4 days a week, with the occasional overnight stay so a driver’s licence is required.
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you. We are looking for candidates who have aBusiness Admin or Commerce Degree and CIP. Candidates should have at least 5 years experience in a senior technical insurance role. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
