We are currently recruiting for a full-time contract Associate Director, Access Programs & Community Engagement to work in the Office of the Vice Provost Academic.
Reporting to the Vice Provost Academic, the Associate Director, Access Programs & Community Engagement supports the academic mission and strategic directions of the University in key areas related to access to postsecondary education and community engagement. The Associate Director plans and implements a range of initiatives that contribute to York’s positive reputation as a community engaged university and works with academic and non-academic units to support postsecondary access, retention and student success. The incumbent is responsible for the implementation of York’s Access Strategy, including activities and initiatives associated with the newly created Academic Success Network, supporting the development of programming/supports for diverse student populations and the coordination of access/bridging programs for underrepresented students. The incumbent also advances York as an anchor institution, works in collaboration with local and regional partners (local government, non-profit, community and private sector partners) and provides managerial oversight for the York University-TD Community Engagement Centre.
