Williams Lake Mental Health Team - Permanent Full Time (competition 1036169)
Permanent part-time (0.57 FTE) Rural & Remote Adult Mental Health & Substance Use (MHSU) Nurse opportunity. Join our community crisis response team (CCRT) in Williams Lake. The shift types for this position are days and evenings and shift times are from 08:00 to 20:00 hours.
Candidates will need to have experience providing brief mental health and substance use assessments of clients in crisis, and work in a variety of settings such as office-based, community-based and in hospital. We are seeking candidates with flexibility, critical thinking skills and an ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team. The Rural & Remote Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Nurse works as an integral part of an integrated mental health and substance use service. The Nurse provides urgent outreach, responsive assessment and treatment, case management, GP shared care, education, and support to individuals experiencing acute and/or chronic mental illness and/or problem substance use.

Relief full time opportunity exists for a Rural & Remote Adult Mental Health & Substance Use Nurse, with the Gateway Program in Williams Lake, BC. This relief is until approximately October 31, 2018 or the return of the incumbent.
- Graduation from an approved school of nursing.
- Two (2) years’ recent related experience in a mental health and substance use environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Current practicing registration with the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) or the College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of British Columbia (CRPNBC).
- Current valid B.C. driver’s license.
