The Director, Strategic Projects and Analysis provides consultation, advice, and direct support to advance on
projects and initiatives for the office of the Vice-President Academic. The Director offers senior level vision and
leadership for multiple complex and institutional-wide projects and initiatives around space management, faculty
renewal process planning, financial accountability, an institutional Faculty management system, strategic enrollment
planning and curricular processes. The Director is a member of the senior management team of the Vice-President,
Academic and Provost (VPA) and a member of a Faculty Support Team led by the Associate Vice-President
Academic (AVPA) comprising of Faculty Relations, Academic Planning/Quality Assurance, Finance, Institutional
Research and Planning, Student Services, and others.
Master’s degree in Business Administration and eight years of related experience in designing and developing
business operation strategies for post-secondary institutions, or an equivalent combination of education, training,
Excellent knowledge of business intelligence and analytics.
Good knowledge of financial administration, and accounting principles and procedures.
Excellent organizational, strategic planning and project management skills.
Excellent leadership, consensus building, and change management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to lead in consultative decision-making and to achieve consensus among stakeholders representing
diverse and conflicting interests.
Ability to manage large complex projects with multiple stakeholders and partners.
Ability to exercise mature judgement, initiative, diplomacy and tact.
Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various work locations.
