The Department of Internal Medicine, College of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Manitoba, and the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority Medicine Program invite applications for a geriatrician, commencing August 1, 2018. Currently, there are five geographic full-time physicians within the Section.
This is a geographic, full-time, contingent position commencing August 1, 2018, or as soon thereafter as possible, for a term of 2 years, renewable upon favourable review. Salary and rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
Candidates must have senior specialty qualifications in Geriatric Medicine in the country of current practice and must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Certification in Geriatric Medicine by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada is preferred.
The candidate would be joining an established geriatric program, which is the oldest section of geriatrics in the country, and is home to an extensive clinical program including Geriatric Day Hospitals, inpatient Geriatric Assessment Units, and home visiting teams.
