Reporting to the Director, Insurance Advisory Services, the Sr. Specialist is responsible for providing support and direction to the Insurance Advisors on a day-to-day basis; reviewing and analyzing reports on Advisor Team productivity; create training programs and materials and act as life insurance product knowledge specialist.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

 

  • Recommend and contribute to the development of policies and processes for the Advisor team and recommend changes to processes; Responsible for maintaining advisors sales tools;

 

  • Work closely with the Director and the Learning team to maintain and provide input into the creation of training programs and materials for the Advisor team. Provide ad-hoc training on group and 3rd party life insurance products and services, as required;

     

  • Work closely with the Advisor Team to support their day-to-day needs related to work distribution, technical advisory support, product support procedures and tools, as well as escalation of issues. Responsible for the “Advisor on Call Schedule” and re-assignment of consultations;

 

  • Contribute to reporting initiatives on behalf of Advisor Team; provide technical feedback and coaching to Advisors based on Advisor productivity reports and survey results, and provide assistance to Advisor Team to develop their business plans;

 

  • Required to create and maintain competitive analysis of group and individual life insurance and living benefit products;

 

  • Required to travel to meet the training needs of advisors within Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

 

Education: Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, or equivalent; Life License Qualification Program (LLQP); CFP or CLU an asset.

 

Experience: 6-9 years insurance industry experience with specialized knowledge of group and individual
