Job Description

The Position:

Our Edmonton, AB office is looking for a Personal Lines Account Assistant!  This position will work alongside the Account Executives in our VIP Personal lines team. The Personal Lines Account Assistant will provide day to day servicing tasks to our VIP personal lines clients.

Please Note: 1 – 2 years’ of experience in personal lines is required and a strong administration background would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal effectively with client queries and document files accordingly;

  • Processing of customer payments on company portals;

  • Invoice renewals, endorsements and cancellations and create letters to go out to clients;

  • Check client documents for accuracy;

  • Follow up on outstanding documents from the Insurer;

  • A/R processing and billing;

  • Attend “team meetings”;

  • Claims entry and follow up on claims adjuster information;

  • Manage workload according to importance and prioritize effectively;

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of High School diploma; completion of business administration diploma considered an asset;

  • Level 1 General Insurance License with some personal lines insurance experience.

  • Willing to obtain a Level 2 General Insurance License;

  • Must be working to attaining or already have CIP or CAIB designation;

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;

  • Ability to work independently and within a team;

  • Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment;

  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office;

  • Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with underwriters and customers

  • Excellent organization, planning and prioritizing skills;

  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate the status of assignments;

  • Strong customer focus with a high degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, and adaptability.
