Duties:
- Perform heavy truck repairs and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Repairing and replacing faulty parts and components
- Conducting routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Performing tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repairing tires
- Conducting soldering and welding tasks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by:
- Communicating with customers to understand their heavy truck concerns and address any questions or concerns they may have
- Explaining repair procedures and recommendations in a clear and understandable manner
- Ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality workmanship
Skills:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair various heavy truck issues
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately
- Knowledge of heavy truck systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required in a heavy truck repair setting
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
Note: Prior experience as a mechanic or service technician is preferred.
