Overview:
We are searching for a passionate professional to join our manufacturing team.
The Grinding Expert is responsible for the grinding operations within the Veritas machine shop. The Grinding Expert is a seasoned technical expert in grinding technology, combined with a passion for learning and ability to coach coworkers of multiple backgrounds, skill level, and abilities.
As a Grinding Expert you will …

Provide technical support and develop grinding solutions for manual and CNC grinders.

Focus on quality “right the first time” and eliminate rework.

Lead team to develop efficient grinding processes.

Ensure all equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. are operated and maintained properly.

Collaborate with other departments such as planning, tool room, and engineering.
As a professional, you will have...

A ‘Safety First’ attitude.
-
Education background in a technical and/or manufacturing field. Ex: Mech Eng Technologist, Tool and Die Manufacturing, Manufacturing Eng, etc. All relevant education will be considered.

2 to 5 year industrial experience, including minimum 2 years in grinding, ideally in a leadership role.

Experience leading teams of 10+ people.

Ability to interpret fabrication drawings, geometric tolerances, and surface finish requirements.

Extensive machining experience, including manual and CNC grinding, with a wide array of material from cast iron to tool steels.

Knowledge of grinding processes, abrasives, and grinding fluid.

Capable of identifying various surface finish defects and providing solution to improve quality.

Demonstrated ability to train non-technical operators.

Proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and methodical (organized).
