Job Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced Crane Operators to operate a Powerhouse Interior 80-ton Overhead Bridge Crane at the Red Rock Hydro Electric Generating station in Iron Bridge, Ontario. The Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently, following all safety guidelines and procedures. Rotation is 28/7. Living Out Allowance available for workers from out of town. Duration of the project runs until Sept. 1 2023. No travel provided, must have own transportation.
Note: We currently have an immediate need for 2 Crane Operators for our Red Rock Powerhouse Project in Iron Bridge, Ontario.
- One operator is needed for the Day Shift from 0700am to 0530pm
- One operator is needed for the Night Shift from 0600pm to 0400am.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a 60-year-old Powerhouse Interior 80-ton Overhead Bridge Crane with 2x 10-ton aux. hoists in the power house of the Red Rock Hydro Electric Generating Station
- Move turbine-generator components for unit assembly in accordance with engineered lift plans and rigging requirements
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Complete daily pre-operational checks and report any defects or issues to the maintenance team
- Communicate effectively with other members of the crew and the site supervisor
Requirements:
- Valid Red Seal Crane Operator Certification
- Minimum of 10 years of experience operating cranes
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures related to Crane operations
- Ability to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor environments
