Responsibilities:
- Drive a heavy truck.
- Operate heavy equipment, including lowbed, end dump & demo trailers
- Safely and efficiently transport heavy equipment, materials, good to designated locations
- Load and unload machines using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Follow assigned routes and schedules for timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents or delays
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the truck
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the truck to ensure its safety and functionality
- Communicate with dispatchers and supervisors regarding any issues or changes
Successful applicants MUST:
- Hold a valid class 1 driver’s commercial license
- Able to drive a manual transmission
- Clean drivers abstract
- Proven experience hauling lowbed, end dump and demo trailers
- Proven experience moving hauling heavy equipment
- Ability to safely operate heavy equipment such as excavators and dump trucks
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
- In depth knowledge of the Lower Mainland
- Safety first attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills & effective communications with dispatchers, supervisors and customers
- Physically able to climb in and out of the truck and unload materials as needed
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Be a team player
- Great customer service skills
Benefits:
- Wages start at $31 per hour for experienced productive drivers, and will be reassessed after 3 months
