WE'RE LOOKING FOR A HUMAN RESOURCES BUSINESS PARTNER
POSITION LOCATION: FORT ERIE, ONTARIO
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) reports to the Manager, Human Resources and is responsible for providing advice, guidance, and counsel to AHCA Employees ensuring appropriate application and compliance with Human Resources Policies. The HRBP supports AHCA by carrying out the HR Strategy, implementing the company's HR policies, and the policies from the Canada Labour Code. Additionally, the HRBP manages AHCA's Onboarding process, HR Analysis and Reporting, Training and Development, Digitalization and Ethics and Compliance.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations
- Act as a point of contact for employees and managers on employee relations matters. Provide guidance and support when assisting managers/ employees with employee relations issues, concerns, progressive disciplinary actions, and Performance Improvement Plans.

Advise and assist Managers on interpretation and administration of AHCA personnel/corporate policies and procedures.
- Participate in the "Gemba Walk" to see first-hand on any internal problems and improve employee engagement.
- Support effective internal communication to staff of HR related issues and policies utilizing a variety of mediums to ensure employees are informed.

Contribute and support the continuous improvement of HR objectives and goals. Support the HR team with updated and adapted HR processes. Support management in relation to organizational changes.

Actively support the delivery of employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and employee social events.

Promote positive labor relations and speak up culture.
Digitalization, Training & Development

Support staff with Workday (myPULSE) and other Airbus digital initiatives at AHCA.

Train new and existing employees on Workday (myPULSE) initiatives, including HUB profile creation, Workday (myPULSE) performance reviews, eLearning and ensure goals and objectives are completed annually within the tool.

Update HR Department KPI's on a monthly basis.
- Provide guidance and support for all management change initiatives and processes relating to departmental and individual training and development opportunities.

Research and propose appropriate training programs for employees in need of development.

Monitor and record all training requisitions into the "Training Plan", follow up with training evaluations for each course.
Recruitment & Talent Management
- Target top talent through a variety of sources including: job postings, screening resumes and candidates, in person interviews, presenting candidates to hiring managers, maintaining and developing an efficient recruitment process.

When necessary, collaborate with Third Party Recruitment Agencies for assistance in filling various roles within AHCA.
- Develop offer letters and contracts of employment for new hires based on compensation analyses and relevant market rates.

Manage and support Airbus early career initiatives internally and externally.

Ensure the recruitment and selection process is reflective of the legislation regarding Employment Equity.

Review annual employee assessments with management of HRBP scope and develop action plans to ensure employee succession plans align with the dynamic needs of AHCA.

Support with the research, review and preparation of occupational classifications, job descriptions, competency and compensation analyses for newly created positions and new hires to AHCA.

Manage and update monthly Headcount, Employee Demographics, Terminations, Attrition, Turnover reports.
Compliance

Support the creation of Human Resources policies and practices to meet Airbus Group standards and the applicable legislation.
- Gather, review and add proposed changes to the Employee Handbook before distributing to employees.

Ensure 100% Ethics & Compliance training to all AHCA employees and support audits as required.
Benefits & Pension Administration
- Promote internal and external wellness programs.

Support plan administrator and employees regarding administration of the benefits program, policy/program changes, and employee inquiries or issues.
- Support plan administrator and employees regarding administration of the pension plan, additional employee deductions or additions, and employee inquiries or issues.
Minimum Job Requirements

College Diploma in Human Resources Management
-
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) considered an asset

Five years of relevant experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Extensive working knowledge of Human Resources, employment practices, principles and employment legislation
- Remain educated and concurrent with changes to the legislation (CLC) regarding AHCA's policies, procedures, operations, pension and benefits plan
- Proven ability to support, contribute and communicate AHCA's top business objectives while ensuring employee relations are adhered to
- Strong attention to detail
