The Iroquois Falls Family Health Team would like to invite an International Medical Graduate to join our inter-professional team as a Medical Assistant under the supervision of one of the physicians.
The medical assistant will work with physicians to provide essential health care to patients of this community. Responsibilities may vary depending on skills and judgement of supervising physician. Duties include:
- Direct patient care
- Review of medical reports and results
- Medical documentation
Skills required:
- Must be able to take histories, conduct physical examinations and make recommendations
- Diagnose and treat illnesses
- Order and interpret tests
- Review diagnostic imaging, lab specialist reports and review patient charts
- Counsel on preventive health care
- Must be fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- EMR experience
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- NAC OSCE or MCCQ2 or USMLE step 3
- MCCE or MCCQE1 or equivalent
- Recent medical experience

Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
