Allnorth’s Project Delivery Group works closely with clients to plan and manage their projects from initial concept through to delivery. The group is comprised of multi-disciplinary teams skilled at providing creative and cost-effective solutions, with a focus on ensuring high-quality outcomes and maximizing return on project investments.
Our Ideal Candidate
You are a seasoned Construction Manager skilled at delivering project and programs with a safety-first mindset. You have a successful track record of executing all activities of construction with an emphasis on safety, quality, cost control, and schedule. In this role, you will deliver of a variety of industrial projects, both domestic and international, and foster a spirit of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation within our growing Project Delivery Group. We are recruiting proactively for upcoming projects with a start date in the latter part of this year.
A Day in the Life
- Coordination and oversight of all onsite construction activities.
- Manage the overall Safety Management Plan, the site Environmental Management Plan, Quality Management Plan, Request for Information, Change Notices, Non-Conformance Reports, commissioning and energizing processes, As-Built completions, and contract compliance.
- Coordinate with engineering to ensure that work is executed as per design specifications and standards and contractual requirements, while prioritizing safety.
- Implement continuous improvements to positively impact project performance.
- Assist in the recruiting, development, and retention of project team, including internal team, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Establish and maintain strong interpersonal relationships to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels.
- Oversee the completion of regular project reporting including updates, including cost, schedule, progress, KPI’s, NCR’s and RFI’s.
- Develop remediation plans with project team to correct schedule or cost issues.
- Role may be site based, dependent upon project requirements.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
- Minimum 15 years’ experience as a Construction Manager in the Mining, Pulp and Paper, or Heavy Industrial Sectors.
- Academic qualifications and/or experience to effectively interface with engineering and management.
- Results-oriented with the capacity to successfully manage multiple competing priorities and timelines
- Superior analytical, problem-solving, audit and investigation skills.
- Well versed in utilizing 3D models, CAD software and project schedules.
- Demonstrated effective leadership interacting with multiple internal disciplines and external customers in areas such as civil, structural, process, electrical, mechanical, etc.
- Working knowledge of contract terms and conditions with the ability to manage to the specification of a contract
- Excellence and professionalism in communication, interpersonal and team-building skills within a diverse workgroup.
