Responsibilities

- Set up the environment to meet the child developmental needs
- Create activities to spark the child creative imagination
- Lead activities in the classroom that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with parents and staff and stakeholders
- Ability to interact one-on-one with children and in small groups
- Maintain staff and child records
- Ensure a clean and safe environment
- Must be able to manage conflict
- Key Skills and Attributes:
- Knowledgeable about licensing regulations, accreditation, and best practices for children
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision making skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with families, co-workers and management
- Demonstrated team work abilities and flexibility
- Excellent organization skills and time management
- Willing to learn, open to feedback
- Be willing to spend time in major events and scheduled meetings
Qualifications:
- Child Care Supervisor
- 1 year experience in a leadership role in an early childhood learning and child care setting
- Current Child Care First Aid with CPR
- Current Police Clearance and Vulnerable Sector search
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 24-32 per week
Salary: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
